Real Madrid legend Guti has advised the club to bring Sergio Ramos back to the Santiago Bernabeu following Eder Militao’s injury. The Brazilian defender picked up a knee injury during Saturday’s (November 9) game against Osasuna and had to be taken out by a stretcher.
The situation will be a huge blow for Los Blancos, who are already without David Alaba and Dani Carvajal. The Austrian defender is yet to recover from the ACL knock picked up last year. Meanwhile, Carvajal also ruptured his ACL last month and won’t return to action this season.
Militao also suffered an ACL injury on Saturday and will be out for the season. Nacho Fernandez also left the LaLiga giants in the summer to move to the Middle East at Al-Qadsiah. Hence, Antonio Rudiger is now the only fit senior center back at Real Madrid.

Speaking recently, as cited by Madrid Xtra, Guti insisted that the Spanish champions should consider Ramos as an option to address the situation.
“There’s Sergio Ramos who’s without a club. In this situation, I see him [as an option],” said Guti.
Ramos arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2005 from Sevilla and spent 16 seasons with Real Madrid. He won 22 trophies with the club, registering 101 goals from 671 appearances.
The Spaniard left Los Blancos in the summer of 2021 as a free agent to move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). After two seasons at the Parc des Princes, the 38-year-old returned to Sevilla in 2023.
Sergio Ramos parted ways with the Andalusian side this summer and is looking for his next club. A recent report from Fichajes.net has stated that the LaLiga champions are considering his return following Eder Militao’s injury.
How many goals have Real Madrid conceded this season?
Eder Militao
Real Madrid attempted to sign Leny Yoro from Lille over the summer but were beaten to the 18-year-old’s services by Manchester United. The LaLiga champions started the campaign with Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger, and Jesus Vallejo as their only senior center-backs.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team have conceded 18 goals in 17 games so far this season. Their biggest defeat came against Barcelona in El Clasico last month at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Catalans secured a 4-0 win over their bitter rivals in the league. Los Blancos also lost 3-1 to AC Milan at home earlier this week in the UEFA Champions League.
Real Madrid’s only other defeat this season was the 1-0 loss to Lille in the Champions League. The LaLiga giants are also missing Thibaut Courtois and Aurelien Tchouameni due to injury at the moment, which has compounded their misery. Moreover, Rodrygo Goes and Lucas Vazquez also went off injured in Saturday’s clash against Osasuna.
