Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane snubbed Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as he named his four favorite players as part of the ‘Mount Rushmore’ challenge. In this clip, the English striker named Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, Bobby Moore, and Brazilian legend Ronaldo as his top picks.
It isn’t surprising to see the former Tottenham Hotspur man pick three former England stars in his four choices. Speaking in a video for SPORTbible, Kane said (via GOAL):
“I’d go with David Beckham. A big idol of mine growing up, a great role model and one of England’s greatest players so he’d definitely be there. I’d probably go with Wayne Rooney as well, I think watching Rooney growing up, seeing what he did for England, and then being lucky enough to play with him, and for him to be my captain was amazing so Rooney would definitely be in there.”

He added:
“Brazilian Ronaldo, being a striker. I used to love watching strikers growing up and I think he’s one of the best to ever do it. He had a great mixture of goalscoring ability but also affecting the game with dribbling and some of his runs, he was one of the greatest number nines there’s ever been.”
“And I’m going to go with Bobby Moore. I think for an England captain to win a World Cup is inspiring and it’s in my dreams and something I want to be able to achieve one day, so to have the opportunity to try and do that would be pretty amazing so I’ll put him up there.”
Kane himself is a prolific striker who has scored 11 goals and bagged seven assists in 10 Bundesliga appearances this campaign.

Manchester City midfielder Rodri emphatically chose Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo when he was asked to choose between the duo in the everlasting GOAT (Greatest of All Time) debate.
The two have achieved a fair bit in the sport, with the Argentine claiming eight Ballon d’Or titles, three more than his Portuguese rival. Speaking on Antenna 3’s show El Hormiguero, Rodri said (via 90 min):
“I have no doubt about it, Messi. I always say that Cristiano has managed to match Messi in many things, perhaps without the innate talent that Leo has, but those of us who really play against them quickly realise the difference.”
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are seemingly nearing the end of their career. Both superstars play outside Europe, with the former representing Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia while Messi plies his trade at MLS outfit Inter Miami.
