Liam Payne ‘s sudden death has shocked his family, friends and fans around the world. The former One Direction member fell from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina, aged 31.

So far, two memorable love affairs in the singer’s life have also spoken out. One is Liam Payne’s current girlfriend – Kate Cassidy. The other is Cheryl – his ex-girlfriend and mother of Liam Payne’s son.

Cheryl hopes her son won’t know too much about the details of his father’s tragic death: “Before you leave a comment or record a video, ask yourself if you would want your child or family to read it. Give Liam the last shred of dignity he has left so he can rest in peace.”

Kate Cassidy started dating Liam Payne in October 2022. She and the former One Direction member traveled to Argentina. But she returned home to Florida, USA on October 14, 2 days before her boyfriend passed away.

On her personal page, the influencer expressed: “Thank you everyone for all the kind words and love sent to me. I am completely disoriented. It is as if the events of the past few days are not real. I hope that you will give me space to resolve this issue privately.”

She then called Liam Payne her “angel”: “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know that I love you completely and unconditionally. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you, Liam.” Kate Cassidy ended the message with the number 444, an angel number said to represent love and support.

However, a source close to Kate Cassidy said she was devastated when she learned Liam Payne had been partying with prostitutes just hours before his death: “Kate had only just heard about the prostitutes. She had no idea about it.” A friend of Kate Cassidy told The Post: “This is obviously a huge betrayal and it’s very hurtful. She’s been crying non-stop and is very upset. Kate has a lot of people around her to support and comfort her, but it’s just gotten worse. She’s not okay at all.”

Before Liam Payne died, he caused a disturbance and smashed a computer in the hotel lobby on the morning of October 16 (local time). That afternoon, hotel staff panicked and called 999 (Emergency Medical Response Service), asking for help regarding a case of a customer who was high on drugs, unable to control his behavior and could harm himself. At 5pm, the police found Liam Payne’s body in the hotel yard. Later, in the room where the male singer was staying, the authorities found a box of soap, matches, candle residue, foil, a lighter, a burnt soda can lid and a strange powder. In the room’s bathtub, people found many candle and foil remnants, along with suspicious burn marks and stains.

On October 19, Buenos Aires police (Argentina) said that Liam Payne was under the influence of a drug that caused severe psychotic episodes and hallucinations before falling to his death on the spot. According to the police, the drug the former One Direction member used was Cristal – a dangerous compound that causes users to experience many emotional ups and downs, sometimes very excited, aggressive but also extremely depressed. Therefore, the authorities believe that the drug’s influence most likely caused Liam Payne to hallucinate, leading him to jump off the hotel balcony from the 3rd floor.

Alberto Crescenti, director of Buenos Aires emergency medical services, said Liam Payne fell from a height of about 14 meters onto the hotel’s courtyard. Preliminary autopsy results found that the singer had multiple serious injuries that caused internal and external bleeding, including a fractured skull. Notably, according to the Argentine prosecutor’s office, Liam Payne may have fallen from the hotel balcony in a semi-conscious or completely unconscious state, without the reflexes to protect himself.

The news of Liam Payne’s death shocked Hollywood, leaving the actor’s family and fans in shock. The singer’s family expressed their desire for privacy to be respected as they “go through this terrible time.” Before his death at the age of 31, Liam Payne had a turbulent life. Sources close to him shared that Liam Payne struggled with depression and serious mental health issues in the last years of his life.

Notably, a week before the tragic incident, Liam Payne suffered a major career blow when his contract with Universal Music was terminated. Liam Payne and his girlfriend were also revealed to have been at odds with each other when Kate Cassidy asked to return home early on October 14, despite the famous singer’s earnest pleas to stay in Argentina.
