Chelsea are considering making a move to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, who is valued at around £35 million by his side. The Irish goalkeeper is weighing up his future at Anfield, as he looks to move to a club where he can play regularly as a first-choice goalkeeper.
In Kelleher, Liverpool have found arguably the most reliable and consistent back-up goalkeeper in Europe, with the Irishman always performing excellently when called upon. Now 25, the Ireland international is prepared to leave the club, particularly since they have signed Giorgi Mamardashvili as the long-term replacement for Alisson.
The Sun reports that Chelsea have emerged as a real option for Kelleher, as the Blues continue to splash the cash on goalkeepers. They are looking to bring in a goalkeeper to replace Robert Sanchez, who has been unconvincing, at best, for the side. The Spaniard has committed three errors leading to goals this season and conceded three penalties, as well.

Ruben Amorim has given green light for sale of 24-year-old Manchester United star: Reports
The Blues signed Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal for a reported £21 million in the summer of 2024, but the Denmark U-21 star has yet to convince the coach of his talents. The club are willing to make an attempt to sign Kelleher, who has proven himself at the highest level in a Liverpool shirt.
Liverpool will expect to receive a fee of around £35 million for the goalkeeper, who turns 26 later this month. The Reds are aware of interest in their goalkeeper from Italy, as well, with both Juventus and Napoli interested in signing him.
Chelsea have the best chance of signing Kelleher, as he hopes to remain in the Premier League rather than move abroad. However, with the likes of Gabriel Slonina, Mike Penders, and Djordje Petrovic out on loan, they may be unwilling to pay £35 million for the Irishman.
