Jennifer Aniston made it clear she’s not exactly a fan of Elon Musk — at least not in the way her “Morning Show” character might be.
In a recent Vanity Fair profile, writer Julie Miller was discussing how the Apple TV+ series blends real-life news and politics into its storyline, including Alex Levy’s romance with a billionaire rocket builder played by Jon Hamm. Miller noted that the character bore some resemblance to Musk. That’s when Aniston quickly dismissed the idea, saying, “I don’t find him desirable in any way or shape.”
The blunt response drew a clear line between fiction and reality for the “Friends” star, whose character may entertain high-powered relationships, but whose personal tastes apparently don’t include the Tesla and SpaceX CEO.
While Musk’s penchant for ambitious space projects, his fascination with the letter X, and his Mars colonization dreams may not impress Aniston, he has had his share of high-profile relationships. Actress Amber Heard dated Musk on and off between 2016 and 2018, calling him a “real gentleman” after they first connected at the 2016 Met Gala. In 2018, he began dating musician Grimes, and the pair later welcomed a son named X Æ A-12, known as “X.”
Grimes once explained their decision to have a child in a way that contrasted sharply with Musk’s eccentric public persona. “I do actually just really love my boyfriend,” she told People, saying the choice came from affection rather than anything clinical or calculated.
Aniston’s comments serve as a reminder that while Musk might intrigue some with his futuristic ambitions, others — even in Hollywood — are unmoved by the allure of his high-tech empire.
