Cristiano Ronaldo bags double against Al-Ghharafa to help Al-Nassr bounce back after defeat.

Cristiano Ronaldo was at his best in Al-Nassr’s AFC Champions League clash against Qatari side Al-Gharafa to help his team banish memories of their loss to Al Qadisya three days ago. The Portuguese star’s goals see him score in successive games and propel his side to victory in continental football.

Ronaldo scored after the halftime break with a fine header in the 46th minute. His goal was followed 12 minutes after Angelo Gabriel and Ronaldo’s compatriot Otavio combined to double the Saudi Arabian side’s lead.

Gabriel went from goalscorer to provider six minutes later when he set up Ronaldo to bag his brace in the 64th minute to make it 3-0. Another ex-Real Madrid star, Joselu, wrapped up the scoring but bagged a consolation goal for the Qatari side in the 75th minute to see the match ended 3-1.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr look well poised to progress to the next stage of the AFC Championship after another fine game. The former Manchester United legend will be keen to help his side progress in the competition in what could be his final season at the club. The veteran star is in the final year of his contract with the Riyadh-based outfit.
