Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to join Al Hilal to replace Neymar because the Brazilian player is constantly injured.

According to Sport  , Al Hilal intends to recruit Ronaldo. This team “dreams” of bringing CR7 to replace Neymar. With Ronaldo’s contract with Al Nassr expiring in the summer of 2025, Al Hilal is considering the possibility of recruiting him on a free transfer.

In fact, Al Hilal would not have much trouble if they wanted to sign the former Manchester United striker. The Public Investment Fund (PIF) owns 75% of Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Ahli and Al Ittihad. PIF can create a series of superstar contracts and distribute them to any team it wants.

The news comes as the reigning Saudi Pro League champions are fed up with Neymar and want to terminate his contract with the player. The Brazilian star has had a difficult time since joining Al Hilal in August 2023 for €90 million.

Neymar suffered a cruciate ligament injury and will be out for the rest of the year. The former Barcelona star has just returned, playing two matches mostly from the bench. In the 3-0 win over Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League Elite on November 5, he continued to have physical problems, thereby missing for more than a month.

On the contrary, Ronaldo has been playing well since joining Al Nassr in 2022. The 39-year-old striker scored more than 50 goals for his home team and won the Golden Boot award in Saudi Arabia’s top league last season.

However, Ronaldo has not won any valuable titles with Al Nassr. In 2023, he won the Arab Club Champions Cup with Al Nassr but this tournament was a friendly tournament. If he joins Al Hilah, CR7 has a great chance to improve his achievements because this is the strongest team in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo shared earlier this year: “I don’t know if I will end my career early or if I will play for two or three more years. But maybe I will end up at Al Nassr. This is the team where I feel happy, where I feel good and comfortable, both in this country and this tournament.”
